Separium: Monotypic Humans at Sónar+D
Experience "Separium: Monotypic Humans" Game Simulation at Sónar+D!
In our previous exhibition, we designed audience experiences across the first and second floors of the Box Theatre, the Pocket Gallery, and the connecting elevator. So, what kind of experience can audiences expect at Sónar+D?
We navigate between the virtual and the real, reflecting on the characteristics of different media. But due to the unique characteristics of the Sónar+D booth, the entire exhibition couldn't be replicated exactly. We thought about which medium could be used more appropriately in this situation, so we decided to design the audience experience through a game simulation based on Unreal Engine. We realized that creating a game version of Separium required a different approach than simply transferring the exhibition.
Thus, we developed a new game version of Separium, focusing on the elevator to showcase the Separium universe. For this, we adopted the format of recent 'anomaly' games.
The story of the game is as follows:
In this game, you take on the role of the administrator of Separium. Your mission is to pass Purry's tests and move to the administration office.
